智能公路运输系统是全球导航卫星系统(GNSS)市场第二大分支,几乎占其创收的半数。过去五年,公路运输领域的GNSS消费市场有了突飞猛进的发展,年增长率超过60%,价格也逐步降低。目前,该市场仍然增势强劲,目前三分之一的车辆安装了卫星导航设备,这一数字将有望在2020年增长到90%。

Intelligent transport systems for road transport is the second most important segment of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) market taking nearly half of it in revenues. The GNSS consumer market in the road sector has really exploded in the last 5 years with more than 60% per year of growth and prices declining. It is still growing rapidly with vehicles to be equipped with a navigation device passing from one third of the market now to nearly 90% in 2020.

                   

GNSS在公路运输中的应用远不只限于车内导航。例如,如果公路用户使用以GNSS为基础的收费系统进行收费,公路基础设施的使用将会更加高效,能够降低对于交通和环境的不良影响。车队管理和物流也能够从当前的欧洲静地导航覆盖服务(EGNOS)以及未来的伽利略定位系统(Galileo)中受益,这两个系统能够实时定位各种路面交通工具。这有利于改善资源,完善车队管理,并减少时间和燃料的耗费。

GNSS applications in road transport cover much more than in-car navigation: for instance, road user charging with GNSS-based toll collection systems allows a more efficient use of the road infrastructure, reducing both traffic and environmental effects. Fleet management and logistics can also benefit from accuracy brought by EGNOS today and tomorrow by Galileo, by locating in real time, trucks, buses, taxis, etc. This helps optimise resources, better fleet management and reduces time and fuel consumption.  

此外,创新性的应用也层出不穷。例如,数字通话计划(eCall)利用GNSS的定位服务安装车内自动紧急通话系统,通过这一系统,紧急服务机构能够在事故发生后远程定位事故车辆。事故重建和防盗窃系统等其他应用或许也将出现。

In addition, innovative applications have been developed. For example the eCall programme makes use of GNSS positioning to implement an automatic in-vehicle emergency call system allowing emergency services to remotely locate vehicles after an accident. Other new applications such as accident reconstruction or anti-theft systems may also emerge.

通过信号改良后,伽利略系统将大大改进公路运输中的应用。

Thanks to its improved signals Galileo will make for enormous improvements in road transport applications.
