适地性服务 Location Based Services Sector

精准便携式定位信号接收器可能安置于智能手机、掌上电脑Personal digital assistants, PDAsMP3播放器手提电脑相机视频设备这将直接为个人提供伽利略服务,从而可能从根本上转变我们工作和娱乐方式。 

The integration of accurate hand-held positioning signal receivers, possibly within mobile telephones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), mp3 players, portable computers, digital cameras and video devices, will bring Galileo services directly to individuals, making possible a fundamental transformation of the way we work and play.

适地性服务(Location Based Services, LBS)包含广泛的应用,根据最终用户的位置或是被追踪的用户或物件的位上而发。以用户数目和潜在收入而言,适地性服务已成为伽利略的主要先驱市场。 

The term Location Based Services (LBS) covers a broad range of applications that are triggered according to the location of the end user, or are otherwise dependent on the location of the users or objects being tracked. LBS has been identified as the main initial market for Galileo, in terms of number of users and potential revenues.

                       

首先,LBS手机黄页邻近服务提供用户所在位附近的商业据点位置。这项服务可以创造新的广告服务,提供邻近位上可取得的产品和服务资讯。

To start with, LBS will include ‘Mobile Yellow Pages' or‘Proximity Services' providing users, wherever they are, with the locations of nearest businesses. This can be linked to new advertising services, providing proximity-based information on available products and services.

Dedicated positioning devices will be available for tourists or hikers, for amusement park and museum visitors, even shoppers within large shopping centres. Such devices will also provide a new dimension of security, allowing the location of stolen property, or lost pets or individuals, by third parties and security authorities.

在这些方面,伽利略现存的卫星辅助搜救系统(COSPAS-SARSAT)为基础提供全球搜救服务Search and Rescue, SAR功能。伽利略卫星将配备一个转发器,能从用户发射机发出遇险信号并传输至救援协调中心,随即启动救援行动。

Along these lines, Galileo will, for example, provide a global Search and Rescue (SAR) function, based on the operational Cospas-Sarsat system. Each Galileo satellite will be equipped with a transponder, able to transfer distress signals from user transmitters to a rescue coordination centre, which will then initiate rescue operations.
